A Final Thank you.
November 13, 2005
In one week from today, the new Alberta Alliance leader will awaken
from a night of sleep faced with a new and challenging adventure. It
will be an adventure of great worth and value, and it cannot be
traveled alone.
As I have made telephone calls across this Province, I have been
impressed with the raw potential and intelligence of our membership.
The new leader will have the benefit of being surrounded by this
amazing team, an all-star team that has had the courage and
foresight to pioneer a new political frontier in Alberta.
Thank you, each and every member of the Alberta Alliance, for
participating in this 2005 leadership race. It has been a
life-impacting adventure for me, and I trust it has been for you as
well.
Thank you for believing in the Alberta Wildrose Alliance. We all agree
that the Klein Tory government is just not cutting it, whether it be
in health care, federal-provincial relations, environmental
protection, or virtually any other sector of our society. The Klein
Tories excel in only one area - the Tax, Spend and Plunder Ministry,
oh, no, there's two - the Whatever Ottawa Wants Plan.
This will be the last release I send out to members before the
Convention, unless the Klein Tories in their typical manner really
blow it on another issue this week, and I just can't help myself!
I was pleased to see the St. Albert Gazette publish my Letter to the
Editor yesterday on the matter of extending rights to the pre-born,
appropriately captioned, "Fetus protection worth the wait".
If you have not already mailed your ballots, I'd suggest that you
should do that on Monday, or you could risk missing the deadline. If
you must mail it after Monday, perhaps you should consider sending
it by overnight delivery. Better yet, make the effort to drive to
Red Deer, and for the $15.00 registration you could meet fellow
Alberta Alliance members, and listen to the candidates speak.
Thank you for allowing me the privilege of running in this race.
Thanks for your participation.
Cheers,
Marilyn
